Many young professionals, creatives, students, and newcomers to Savannah were looking for genuine community and cultural connection. AFROHANGS was created to bridge that gap by providing welcoming experiences where people could meet, celebrate, and feel at home.
Our Impact

Afro Hangs exists to create spaces where culture is celebrated, friendships are formed, and meaningful connections flourish. Through thoughtfully curated experiences, we bring people together to build community, foster belonging, and celebrate the richness of the African diaspora and beyond.

Who attends AFROHANGS?
Afro Hangs attracts a diverse community of young professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs, students, and culture enthusiasts. While rooted in the African diaspora experience, our events are open and welcoming to anyone seeking genuine connection, cultural exchange, and community.

How many people attend AFROHANGS events?
What began as a gathering of 20–30 attendees has grown to over 430 attendees within seven events. Attendance continues to grow with each gathering, making Afro Hangs one of Savannah's fastest-growing community experiences.

AFROHANGS prioritizes authentic connection over nightlife. Our events are designed to create meaningful relationships through shared experiences, games, music, food, movement, and conversation. Attendees return not only for the event itself, but for the community they've built.

We offer a variety of partnership opportunities including beverage sponsorships, food and hospitality partnerships, wellness activations, giveaways, branded experiences, community initiatives, and custom collaborations tailored to your goals.

Can brands provide products instead of financial sponsorship?
Absolutely. Many of our partnerships involve product donations, giveaways, sampling opportunities, experiences, or in-kind support. We are always open to exploring creative collaborations that provide value to both our community and our partners.

Yes. Event photography and video content can be provided to partners depending on the sponsorship level. Our team captures high-quality content that brands can use across their own marketing and social channels.

Both. Brands can sponsor individual gatherings, seasonal activations, special events such as Juneteenth celebrations, or establish ongoing partnerships throughout the year.
